An incredible brussels sprouts slaw recipe
By the time Fall begins to roll around every year, I get particularly excited about the abundance of cute brussels sprout stalks at the market. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Once you’ve had one brussels sprouts dish, you’ve had them all.
Luckily, that SO isn’t the case when we consider this recipe. Since the brussels are raw and shredded instead of roasted with a balsamic vinegar (hello, how many times can we eat that dish?),your tastebuds will be thanking you for trying out this paleo brussels sprouts slaw.
Bring on the bacon in this paleo brussels sprout slaw!
The first time I made this dish, I came up with the recipe as an accident. We had a thick slab of (uncut) bacon that had been sitting in the refrigerator for about a week and two huge stalks of brussels sprouts I really needed to get to.
I knew I wanted to refrain from making the same kind of recipe I always did, so I decided to try something way different. The slaw was a success from the very first go around.
Tim eagerly brought home more brussels sprouts from work the very next day so I could immediately make this paleo brussels sprout slaw again.
The not so secret ingredients that I added to the Whole30 Brussels Sprout Slaw are apple cider vinegar and hemp seeds.
It was a no brainer to mix-up a sauce for this slaw that included my creamy and delicious Homemade Paleo Mayonnaise with apple cider vinegar and honey… absolutely delicious! There are a few reasons why I love using Nature’s Intent:
- USDA Organic
- Contains the Mother
- Unfiltered and Unpasteurized
- A natural choice for health, beauty, and food uses
- Gluten-Free and Kosher
- Available in 64 oz and 32 oz sizes
This brussels sprout slaw is Whole30 friendly, too!
That being said, the dressing can be doubled up and used on other salads, too! It’ll keep well in the refrigerator for up to one week in an air tight container.Good news is this recipe can also be made 100% Whole30 compliant.
All you have to do it remove the honey from the dressing recipe & blend in one, soaked date instead (see the notes section!)It tastes absolutely fabulous both ways, so I’ve got you covered.
This paleo brussels sprout slaw is a real keeper… just wait and see!
It’s time to hop on board with this delicious recipe! It’s the best side dish ever. This paleo brussels sprout slaw will become your weekly go-to, and I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Now this is a slaw I definitely could see myself serving on the regular. I love how fresh and colorful it looks. And it isn't overloaded with mayo. . .which is also ???????? in my book.
