Kid Friendly Taco Seasoning (Mild Recipe)

This clean eating, kid friendly taco seasoning mix is a staple in this house when my daughter has friends over and I need an easy dinner idea. It's full of flavor, mild enough for little ones and is super handy to have on hand when you need an easy meal that you know the kids are going to love.

Kid Friendly Taco Seasoning

The kid-friendly tacos I make are really simple, and the seasoning mix I make up is the same. It's full of flavor and delicious while being mild enough to please the fussiest eaters.

Making taco seasoning at home means there's none of preservatives you often find in store bought taco seasonings, plus I can control the amount of spice in it, and this make things a bit easier when you first start clean eating.

Some kids are a bit like a deer in headlights when you try and change their routine: They come to a screeching halt. Being able to tailor foods to their tastes is a big thing if you want to make sure you're serving real food.

Play with the flavor if you need to. I' have 've made this for little kids and teenagers, so I try and find a happy medium of 'hotness'. There is definitely room to add more chili powder. If you are making this for bigger kids, then add ¼ - ½ teaspoon ground chili powder for a little kick.

How To Make Kid Friendly Taco Seasoning

Ingredients

• 1 tsp Paprika ground
• 1 tsp Cumin ground
• ¼ tsp Oregano ground
• ¼ tsp Garlic Powder ground
• ¼ tsp Onion Powder ground
• ¼ tsp Coriander ground
• ¼ tsp Chile flakes
• ¼ tsp Black pepper ground
• ¼ tsp Salt ground

Instructions

• Mix all ingredients together.
• This makes enough to season around 500g / 1 lb of ground beef.
• Store in an airtight container in a cool spot in your pantry.

These Clean eating Tacos look a bit like junk food, but they're a really good meal to feed your family when you first make the move to eating clean. They're what I would call a fun food, the kids love putting their own toppings on them and choosing what they're going to have.
