Easy Honey Butter Chicken
Here is how to make easy honey butter chicken. It is a perfect quick weeknight meal for the whole family and packed with so much flavor. The dish is gluten free, dairy free, and paleo.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds boneless and skinless chicken thighs diced
- ½ cup arrowroot flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- 1 ½ tablespoons butter
- 1 ½ tablespoons avocado oil
- ⅓ cup honey
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
- kosher salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine arrowroot flour with spices and stir well. Add diced chicken and combine very well until it’s fully coated.
- Throw chicken into a colander and shake out the excess flour. Set aside.
- Add 1 ½ tablespoon butter and 1 ½ tablespoon avocado oil into a large pan over medium-high heat. Once oil is heated, add chicken in a single layer and cook until crispy/lightly charred.
- Cook on the other side until it is the same way. Remove from the pan and turn heat down to medium.
- Add in the rest of the butter, honey, vinegar, coconut aminos, and salt and pepper, to taste. Keep stirring over a simmer until the sauce thickens up like a thin caramel ~ about 5 mins.
- Add chicken back into the pan and stir until well coated.
- Taste for additional salt and pepper and garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, etc. enjoy!
